Dr. Liu grew up in South America until moving to the United States for college. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado, in Denver, and stayed in Colorado to complete her residency at Denver Health. She has volunteered internationally, including in Ecuador, Peru and Brasil. She eventually returned to Los Angeles and has been an Emergency Physician on staff at Torrance Memorial Medical Center since 2016. She speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently.
