Dr. Campo was born and raised in Los Angeles. He obtained his undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley in Molecular and Cell Biology. He went on to complete medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Los Angeles County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center where he served as a Chief Resident. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, live music, and scuba diving.
